Info:The Dalles Dam is a hydroelectric dam spanning the Columbia River, two miles east of the city of The Dalles, Oregon, United States. The Dalles Dam Visitor Center is open May 1st through September 30th, 7 days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, The Dalles Lock and Dam is one of the largest hydropower producing dams in the United States! Since 1957, The Dalles Dam has also provided the Pacific Northwest with a reliable water source for navigation, irrigation, flood mitigation, and recreation.Want to take a tour? Call or stop by The Dalles Dam Visitor Center for an up to date tour schedule. The visitor center offers a variety of interactive displays and activities. Guests can watch a short film on the benefits and impacts of the dam, explore the exhibits, and view migrating fish going through the fish ladder. Adjacent to the visitor center is Seufert Park which is a perfect location to picnic and enjoy the scenic views of Mt. Hood. Visitors can also wander through the Historic Seufert Rose Garden and access a portion of The Dalles Riverfront Trail! Amenities:
