TOM MCCALL NATURE PRESERVE

Info:

Located along the Historic Columbia River Highway, the 271 acre Tom McCall Nature Preserve features some of the most stunning displays of spring wildflowers in the Gorge. Best time for viewing wildflowers is between April and May. There are two trails on the preserve - the plateau trail which heads NNW towards the river, and the viewpoint trail which heads to the south and climbs 1000 ft to the breathtaking view of the Gorge, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Hood.

The Plateau trail is about 1 mile long and descends 300' from the trailhead. The Viewpoint trail is about 1.5 miles long and ascends 1000' from the trailhead.
