Maryhill Museum of Art and the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District are partnering to present four, FREE two-day teen comic book workshops featuring artists Terri Nelson and Randi Emberlin. Terri Nelson will lead workshops August 6–7 at the White Salmon Valley Community Library (WA), August 20–21 at the (WA) and on August 27–28 at the Goldendale Community Library (WA). The workshop on August 27–28 at the Washougal Community Library (WA) will be led by artist Randy Emberlin. Teens will make a comic book cover and explore the concept of character development, and will be invited to display their art in Maryhill's EyeSEE Activity Room during the run of the exhibit Comics at the Crossroads. They will also receive free tickets to the exhibition opening. Funding for the workshops is provided in part by a grant from Humanities Washington.
