Event Information

Friday and Saturday event includes nine perfomances each night starting at 5:30 p.m. and departing every 15 minutes. Last performance departs at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday Matinee includes four afternoon performances starting at 2:00 p.m. and departing every 15 minutes. Last performance departs at 2:45 p.m.

Tours begin at the Hood River Valley Adult Center, 2010 Sterling Place, Hood River.

Performances take place at the Idlewilde Cemetery.

These performance times are not intended for children under the age of 10. To accommodate tours for elementary age children, please see our new Family Friendly Tour section.

Performances are approximately 2 hours in length in outside weather and terrain. Please wear appropriate clothing for a cool fall evening stroll. No dogs allowed in the performance area. 

Purchase Tickets

Tickets are $15 each.

Price reduced to $12 each if purchased before August 19th or if you purchase a time block of 12 tickets.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting or calling The History Museum. Tickets will also be available at the museum booth at the Hood River County Fair, July 28 - 31st.

Family Friendly Tours

$6.00 per person.

Saturday, September 11th. Four performance times starting at 10:00 a.m. with the last performance departing at 10:45 a.m.

This shorter, more interactive performance is for elementary age children and their parents. Children will learn about the cemetery and make a small tombstone rubbing to take home.

Performance is approximately 60 minutes in length. Please dress appropriate for outside weather and terrain. All children must be accompanied by an adult. 

BBQ Chicken Dinner

Hosted by Hood River Adult Center

$6 per person and includes BBQ chicken, potato salad, pie and a beverage. Dinner served on Friday and Saturday evening from 4 to 7 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased with your Cemetery Tales tickets or at the Hood River Adult Center.

This is a fund raiser for Meals on Wheels.
