Drawing What You See a workshop at Rip Caswell Sculptures Studio.    Sam Collett is a portrait, figurative and landscape painter living in Joseph, Oregon. He says, “The mixture of forested mountains, rural farms and ranches has become my artistic metaphor. Wallowa County is a constant source of inspiration; this land and its people are always an artistic challenge to me.”

The objective of this two day workshop will be to teach the students concepts and methods for a better understanding of their visual field; to bring a greater clarity and objectivity to their visual focus and then transferring those observations to the picture plane. To give the students the tools for them to use when they are back in their studios working on their paintings or drawings, to critique their progress and help them work through the problems that will arise; and then finally to give them the information to use to create stronger and more knowledgeable paintings and drawings. Mr. Collett, our “featured artist”for the month of August/September, has more than twenty years of teaching experience in realism painting and drawing. Workshop Date: Friday Night, Saturday & Sunday, Aug 6th, 7th and 8th
Workshop Fee: $225.00 Class size limited to a minimum of 6 - maximum of 10 students. Supply list will be provided Please make checks payable to: Allied Arts Association Full payment due at registration. $10 handling fee for cancellations. Entire payment will be refunded in the case of class cancellation.
