MORE DETAILS
Sippin' hot chocolate and making S’mores around an open fire pit, singing carols and mixing with friends and neighbors, gathering together for the lighting of the White Salmon Holiday Tree….it may sound like a scene from days gone by, but this is what locals have in store for them this Saturday, December 5, in Downtown White Salmon.

This is a chance to mingle with neighbors and guests, enjoy local arts, entertainment and food, and help kick-off the local holiday shopping season. And it's free for all to enjoy. This holiday festival, devised and promoted by the White Salmon Arts Council, is now in its 5th year.

The day begins with Henkle Middle School’s Breakfast with Santa. Most White Salmon shops will open at noon, offering artists, entertainment and snacks to attract visitors. At 2:00 the White Salmon Library hosts their annual Holiday Wassail with music, artisans, kids' crafts and activities, seasonal snacks and the Friends of the Library's traditional Wassail punch. The fire pits will light up at 3:00 in front of the White Salmon Boatworks with hot chocolate, fixin's for S'mores and some unusual Christmas tunes. There may even be some other surprises available to entertain our guests. Finally join Mayor David Poucher and our friends and neighbors at 5:00 in front of the Boatworks for the lighting of the Holiday Tree.

So plan to join your friends and neighbors next Saturday, Dec. 5, at this unique small town community gathering from days gone bye. If you're up for it, by-gone era period costumes are encouraged. Organized and sponsored by White Salmon Arts Council, White Salmon Valley Community Library, Friends of the White Salmon Library, American Aerospace Engineering, Thriftway Harvest Market, Pacific Rim Brokers
